Recently in the news, and on many forms of social media, there has been many women banning together to "ban bossy". These women feel as though the word bossy has a negative connotation and should not be used, they fear that it will cause young girls to fear taking a leadership role. I figured I would give my opinion on this issue. This is absolutely absurd, our society has become so sensitive to simples things, as simple as words. Maybe we should teach these young girls the whole "sticks and stones will break my bones but names will never hurt me". Instead of trying to ban a word that should not be banned maybe we should encourage girls to be "bossy" but in a good way, you know the way that women that run a fortune 500 company are "bossy", I'm sure they do not mind the term.

I have always been a bossy gal, it's in my nature. I have never minded the term, go ahead call me bossy, chances are if you're the one calling me bossy, you are the one listening to the "order" I gave you.
